Browsers
We officially support the two most recent stable versions of every major browser:
- Google Chrome
- Apple Safari (macOS and iOS)
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
Older browsers may work but are not tested. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Network
A stable broadband connection is required. For general use, 3 Mbps down is comfortable. For live classes and HD video playback, plan for at least 5 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up per participant. WebSockets and WebRTC (for live classes) must not be blocked by intermediate firewalls.
Cookies and JavaScript
The Service requires cookies and JavaScript to be enabled. See the Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies we set.
Mobile
The interface is responsive from iPhone 12 and Android 10 upward. Live classes work on mobile browsers on modern iOS and Android; for the smoothest experience on a phone we recommend the latest stable Chrome or Safari.
Peripherals for live classes
For live classes and voice recordings you’ll want a decent microphone (a laptop’s built-in mic is usually fine), headphones to avoid echo, and a webcam if you plan to appear on camera. Browser permissions for camera and microphone must be granted.
SCORM / xAPI content
Uploaded SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages, xAPI content, and cmi5 packages are supported. H5P interactive content renders natively.
