Build a custom report
The Report builder is a drag-and-drop way to shape your own analytics dashboard. This article covers deeper features than the getting-started tour.
Before you start
You need the Admin role. Saved dashboards can be shared across the tenant.
Step 1 — Add multiple panels
Open Report builder and click Add panel repeatedly. Each panel is one metric cut by one dimension. Stack complementary panels — completion rate over time next to average score over time makes a coherent story.
The detail panels give you the breakdown behind each KPI tile.
Step 2 — Use joined dimensions
The builder supports pairwise dimensions — for example course × branch, or role × month. Pairwise cuts produce heatmaps or grouped bars. Use them when a single dimension isn't enough to see the pattern.
The Overview tab is the one everyone lives in — the deeper tabs answer sharper questions.
Step 3 — Save, share and schedule
Name the dashboard and save. Use the share icon to give other admins access. Attach the dashboard to a scheduled export so it lands in stakeholder inboxes weekly. Every saved dashboard appears in the Analytics sidebar for quick access.
The detail panels give you the breakdown behind each KPI tile.
Notes
- For SQL-shape reports, use the API and your own BI tool.
- Dashboards respect branch scoping when viewed by a branch admin.
