Marketplace vs. Bundles: which one do I want

MarketplaceUpdated September 21, 2026

Both a Bundle and a Marketplace listing let you package and sell a course, and it's easy to reach for the wrong one. The difference comes down to who you're selling to.

Bundle: selling to your own learners

A Bundle packages several of your own courses together and sells that package to your own learners, in your own store. Everything stays inside your tenant — the buyer is already one of your users, or becomes one through your own checkout.

Marketplace: selling to other tenants

A Marketplace listing sells a single published course to other tenants, not to your own learners. When one buys, their learner is redirected into your tenant to study it — a completely different audience and a completely different flow.

A marketplace listing aimed at other tenants rather than end learnersThe marketplace pitch is written for a buying organization, not an individual learner.

Quick way to decide

  • Want to sell a package of your own courses to your own learners? Use a Bundle.
  • Want another organization's tenant to buy access to one of your courses for their learners? Use a Marketplace listing.

Notes

Nothing stops you from doing both — a course can sit inside a Bundle for your own learners while also being listed separately on the Marketplace for other tenants.
