Points and badges
Points and badges are the two ways the platform recognizes learning activity as it happens, without anyone having to hand out anything manually.
How points accrue
Points are awarded automatically for activity such as completing a unit, passing an assessment, or finishing a whole course. You don't request them — they show up on your profile as you learn. The exact point values per action are set by your tenant's admin.
Points accumulate quietly in the background as you move through courses.How badges work
Badges mark specific milestones — finishing your first course, hitting a streak, completing a learning path. Unlike points, which are a running total, a badge is a one-time recognition that stays on your profile once earned.

Points and badges only appear if your tenant has gamification switched on. If you don't see any indication of points anywhere in your profile, ask your admin whether the feature is enabled.
